Public vs Private

I can't afford a private school they are to expensive.  This is a common held belief, but may not be true.  It is true that the tuition will be higher than a Public College, but it is also true that they tend to offer more financial aid.  The best type of financial aid your student can receive is grants and scholarships or "Free Money".  Private schools have wealthy, generous alumni, so more grants and scholarships are given to students than public schools.

When you look at the cost of your student's education, make sure that you look beyond the size of the tuition fee or your EFC.  What you really want to know is how much you'll have paid when the final check has been signed.
